Nike Field Hockey Shadow LT
Low Bow Control Stick for Developing Players
The Nike Field Hockey Shadow LT is designed for developing and club-level hockey players who want to improve their ball control, consistency, and confidence on the pitch. Built around a Low Bow profile, this stick supports ball carrying, creative skills, and controlled hitting, while offering a more forgiving feel than higher-carbon elite models.
With a 12K carbon construction and Nike’s proven stability technologies, the Shadow LT delivers reliable power, excellent control, and reduced fatigue—making it the ideal choice for players progressing their technical game.
🎯 Confidence, Control & Creative Play
The Low Bow geometry of the Shadow LT is optimised for ball control, finesse skills, and increased ball speed. Its slightly higher loft angle helps players lift the ball more easily for 3D skills while maintaining consistency for passing and striking.
An angled head profile allows smoother ball pickup, helping players develop scoops, controlled aerials, and tight-space skills.
⚡ 12K Carbon Construction – Forgiving Power & Stability
Constructed with a 12K carbon and fiberglass weave, the Shadow LT provides dependable stiffness without feeling overly rigid. This makes it easier to control first touches, execute passes, and strike cleanly while learning advanced techniques.
The stick remains lightweight and balanced, helping reduce fatigue during training and match play.
A thicker reverse edge improves durability and absorbs impact, ensuring consistent performance over time.

Hockey Stick Sizing
Hockey Stick Sizing
- To find the size of a hockey stick, measure from Belly Button to the Floor in inches
- Use the size table to then find the best suitable size for the player.
- If the measurement is over 36" is going to be an adult hockey stick
- 36.5" and 37.5" are senior length sticks and you can have either of these depending on which is the most comfortable to use.
What Size of Hockey Stick Do I Need?
Hockey stick length can affect your game and control the ball and hitting capability. As a result, you need to find out the right hockey stick size for you. We would always use this as a guide for kids and players that are starting off their hockey journey.
There are so many different ways of measuring or finding out the size of a hockey stick. Some ask you to put the hockey stick in your armpit, some ask you to guess from the player’s height, and some think it’s dependent on the moon's position!
At Total-Hockey, we use the easiest and simplest method, the 'Belly Button' method. All you need for this to work is a measuring tape and the player that needs a new stick size.
To get the right length, this method requires you to use a measuring tape to measure from the middle of the belly button to the floor in inches. That is it, how simple was that!
Now That I Have the Size, What Next?
Now you have the distance between the belly button and the floor in inches; you have to equate that now to stick lengths. You can match the measures sized in the table below and find the adequate stick size for you.
