Save Our Soles Atacama Shoe Dryer -Fast, Hygienic & Energy Efficient Drying.
Keep your hockey shoes, trail shoes, and everyday footwear dry, fresh and ready for your next session with the Save Our Soles Atacama Shoe Dryer. Designed for athletes, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who regularly battles wet footwear, the Atacama uses a gentle warm-air circulation system to remove moisture quickly and safely—without damaging materials or reducing the lifespan of your shoes.
Whether you're training through winter, tackling muddy trails, or simply dealing with soaked shoes from daily life, the Atacama Shoe Dryer helps protect both your footwear and your feet.
Why Keeping Shoes Dry Matters
Running or working out in wet trainers creates a warm, damp environment where bacteria and fungi thrive. Over time this can lead to discomfort, skin irritation, and several preventable foot conditions. By ensuring your shoes dry fully between uses, you can help reduce the risk of:
Common Foot Issues Prevented by Dry Shoes
-
Athlete’s foot – fungal infection caused by prolonged moisture exposure
-
Blisters – increased friction between wet skin and shoe fabrics
-
Fungal toenail infections (onychomycosis) – thickened, brittle, discoloured nails
-
Bacterial infections – cuts or abrasions exposed to damp environments
-
Chafing & irritation – wet fabric rubbing against sensitive skin
-
Maceration – soft, weakened skin prone to tearing
-
Plantar warts – virus entering softened, moisture-weakened skin
-
Overuse injuries – wet shoes alter gait and reduce support, increasing stress on joints
-
Cold feet & lowered immunity – moisture combined with cold temperatures
-
Reduced shoe durability – prolonged dampness damages materials, cushioning and shape
By removing moisture quickly, the Atacama helps keep your shoes healthier, fresher and longer-lasting.
Fresh, Odour-Free Footwear
Warm air circulation not only dries your shoes—it also helps reduce odours by minimising the bacteria and fungi that cause them. Perfect after muddy trail runs, winter training sessions, wet commutes or multi-day adventures.
Highly Energy-Efficient
The Save Our Soles Atacama Shoe Dryer is engineered to be environmentally conscious and cost-effective.

A smart choice for anyone who wants dry shoes without wasting energy.
- You want to choose the right chamois grip for you! Either a Standard Chamois Grip or a Textured Chamois Grip.
- Use one of the two methods to wrap the Chamois Grip onto the shaft of your hockey stick.
- Starting at the bottom of the hockey stick, wrap from bottom of the original grip to the top of the grip at the end cap.
- Starting at the top of the hockey stick, wrap from the end cap to the bottom of the original grip of the hockey stick.
- Make sure you keep the grip nice and tight as you wrap it around to ensure it doesn't move when using it.
- Both will need strips of binding or PVC tape to attach to the hockey stick.
- Dampen your chamois grip before use to ensure you get the tacky grip the chamois grip provides you.
- Replace your chamois grip anytime up to 2 months as we have found any long on the hockey stick will increase the chance of mould starting on the chamois grip.

- You have to choose your ideal hockey replacement grip, either the thicker cushioned grip or the slimmer standard grip.
- Do a dry run of putting your replacement grip on, just so you don't waste your new shiny grip!
- When you are ready to do it for real you want to start at the middle of the stick (where the old grip started)
- Use the angled end of the grip to start.
- Wrap the grip up the shaft of the stick with a slight overlap each time.
- Mark the grip where the replacement grip meets the end cap and cut this point at an angle.
- Add the tape top and bottom to bind the replacement grip to the stick.
- Replace the grip when either the grip is no longer providing you the grip you need or when the grip starts to 'Slip'
