Nike Field Hockey Shadow Elite

Elite Low Bow Control Stick

The Nike Field Hockey Shadow Elite is engineered for elite-level hockey players who rely on precision, ball control, and clean striking. Featuring a Low Bow profile and an aero box shaft design, this stick is built for players who have fully mastered their skills and demand reliability at the highest level.

Designed to deliver maximum stability, controlled power, and exceptional feel, the Shadow Elite is the weapon of choice for creative playmakers and finesse attackers.

Preferred by Dutch international Duco Telgenkamp.

🎯 Designed for Control, Creativity & Ball Speed

The Low Bow geometry of the Shadow Elite is optimised for ball carrying, creative skills, and increased ball speed. Its higher loft angle compared to mid bows allows enhanced 3D skills without sacrificing hitting accuracy.

The angled head profile helps players get underneath the ball effortlessly, supporting quick lifts, scoops, and controlled flicks—perfect for modern attacking play.

⚡ 20K Carbon Construction – Elite Stability & Power

Built using 20K Spread Tow Carbon Weave, the Shadow Elite delivers maximum stiffness and strength without adding weight.

It offers elite-level responsiveness while reducing fatigue over long matches.

The box-shaped aero shaft provides outstanding torsional stability, ensuring consistent ball contact and improved reverse-stick striking. A mass-optimised head enhances durability and power transfer, while the thicker reverse edge absorbs shock and protects against repeated impacts.

Hockey Stick Sizing

Hockey Stick Sizing

  • To find the size of a hockey stick, measure from Belly Button to the Floor in inches
  • Use the size table to then find the best suitable size for the player.
  • If the measurement is over 36" is going to be an adult hockey stick
  • 36.5" and 37.5" are senior length sticks and you can have either of these depending on which is the most comfortable to use.

What Size of Hockey Stick Do I Need?

Hockey stick length can affect your game and control the ball and hitting capability. As a result, you need to find out the right hockey stick size for you. We would always use this as a guide for kids and players that are starting off their hockey journey.

There are so many different ways of measuring or finding out the size of a hockey stick. Some ask you to put the hockey stick in your armpit, some ask you to guess from the player’s height, and some think it’s dependent on the moon's position!

At Total-Hockey, we use the easiest and simplest method, the 'Belly Button' method. All you need for this to work is a measuring tape and the player that needs a new stick size.

To get the right length, this method requires you to use a measuring tape to measure from the middle of the belly button to the floor in inches. That is it, how simple was that!

Now That I Have the Size, What Next?

Now you have the distance between the belly button and the floor in inches; you have to equate that now to stick lengths. You can match the measures sized in the table below and find the adequate stick size for you.

Hockey Stick Length Distance Measured

View 35" Stick Range 35" 35" - 35.5"
View Adult Stick Range 36.5" or 37.5" 36" +

The stick lengths of 36.5" and 37.5" are adult-length hockey sticks. If you fall in that category, we recommend choosing the length of a hockey stick on which size feels more comfortable to hold and play with.

We suggest coming into one of our stores to physically hold the adult hockey stick to see which size will feel the nicest. If you can't get to one of our stores, have a feel of one of your teammate’s hockey sticks to see which size is the most comfortable for you!
